Review: Huggies Dry Diapers

Posted in Review by

Why choose Huggies Dry over other diapers

So you all know that I’m a preemie mom, due to this I always ensure that what my baby use would be best for him.

During the first day of my baby at the incubator and since it wasn’t a planned delivery, my husband had bought him a pack NB EQ baby dry (though we already had stock of NB Huggies dry at home), for temporary use while admitted at NICU. 2nd day, I was also admitted due to preeclampsia, my husband informed me that our little angel had had skin irritation under on his behind but wasn’t get alarmed since he told me that everything is ok and the nurses take good care of him. On the 3rd day, I was advised to get out of the hospital but decided to directly drive at Devine Grace Medical Center (since I’ve admitted on the separate hospital).

At the time I spent with my son at the NICU, he had poop and while the nurse was changing his diaper told me he had acquired rashes on his genitals down to his behind maybe because baby’s skin is too sensitive plus skin reaction on the phototherapy and maybe (just maybe) on the diaper he use. Redness all over his private part observed and can hear his cute little crying voice as the nurse wipes the poop and put skin ointment. The next visit I brought him NB Huggies Dry with which I had already purchased through Lazada before my delivery. I ask the nurses to change the diaper and see what progress will happen with the rashes. A week after using Huggies, my baby’s rashes tame down and as the day goes by disappear.

Here are the factors why I choose Huggies dry diapers:

  • Softness – entire diaper is soft, you can really feel and compare to other brands once touched.
  • Overnight dryness – as observed my baby stays dry all night long and sleeps comfortably.
  • Intact tape – unlike any other brands I’ve used, I do not experience loose tapes with every consumed diaper.
  • Rash free –As I’ve mentioned above no experienced rashes with my baby’s skin with this diaper. I’ve also tried other brands when I cannot find a diaper size for my baby but in just 2-3 changes I already notice red spot on baby’s skin.

When it comes to price, Huggies has average cost than other brands (but still prefer to buy this rather than seeing my baby suffers from skin irritation). What I’m having difficulties with this product is that most of the time its “out of stock”. Several instances I’ve experienced is that we need to drive from one supermarket to another just because there’s no available stock from that certain store. Well, you can also purchase this item online via Lazada or hop in at Huggies website, you just need to sign up for mommy page, where they give discounts and sometimes freebies.

With that said so I’m still leaving you with which brand should you use for your baby. We all moms know and wanted the very best for our little bundle of joy. Happy baby, happy mommy!

My Story: Premature Rainbow Baby

Posted in Uncategorized by

What is a rainbow baby

Rainbow baby is a baby born after miscarriage as well explained at parents.com, because after every storm there you’ll see a rainbow.

On August 2017,  I’ve had the most emotional and traumatic pregnancy delivery every mom-to-be wouldn’t want to experience. I gave birth to a 32 weeks premature rainbow baby boy.

Prior to that at my 29th weeks of pregnancy, there had been series of spotting encountered. I had been admitted to the hospital, take some injections (to keep my baby on my womb until he’s ready to face the world) and advised to take bed rest for a couple of days. After that, I felt ok and was able to get back to work.

On my 32nd week, I woke up feeling groggy that day felt there was something under my bedsheet so I get up and checked…and there I see blood. I immediately tapped my husband and pointed the stains on our bed. He calmly says ill take you to the hospital. So there we went.

At the hospital, my ob still tried to control my early delivery but hadn’t happened because during that time my cervix already dilates to 4cm. Around 8 o’clock in the morning, I gave birth to a 32 weeks rainbow baby boy. He immediately takes at the NICU and got incubated.

Tears flow non-stop on my eyes as I saw our little one lying in the incubator with a tiny tube on his mouth, a dextrose on his hands, another tube on his feet and his eyes were covered with cloth (protection from phototherapy). The nurse who assists me at my son’s room told me not to get upset because the baby is strong and shows good improvement.

As I look at the entire NICU I could see two other babies which were also inside the incubator. I then said to myself “Thanks God” why? because the other two incubated babies look pale and much smaller with my little one. I can see from afar purple colored of their skin, nurses said that one baby delivered at 28th weeks while the other one was at 30th weeks. Compare with my baby, he’s got a pinkish skin which by then the doctor said it was a good sign of survival (though still needs enough observation).

The day goes by and you can see me every day at the hospital. The routine goes checking my baby’s condition, breastfeed and kangaroo care for like 3-4 hours straight (imagine I did it, whew!). The only rest I consider is during lunch time (perhaps). After that, I’ll get back to the NICU again to carry my son for hours until my husband arrives from work to pick me up and go straight home. This repetitive situation lasts for almost 30 days.

I could still remember there are times I almost fall down, always ask questions why did it happen to us, to my baby. This is not easy as I may have suffered postpartum depression, luckily I have very loving, understanding and supportive husband who always has his arms to hug me and tells me everything’s gonna be alright, “God knows and God will answer” that’s the exact words he utters.

On the 4th week of visiting my baby, his pedia talk to me and said we can take the baby home, “finally”. But another situation followed… Hospital bills, yes it was not the amount we expect and prepared for. Thankfully we’re able to accomplish necessary documents one day after I gave birth, able to drop all those at my company, and managed to get my little one his own health card so all the charges incurred had been reimbursed.

The best advice I could give to all preggy mom out there is that you have to take care of yourself 3X than what you are when you’re not yet conceived. Any annoyed feeling most especially in your tummy should be consulted immediately to your ob doctor. You and only you know your body as well as the baby inside you.

Meteor Garden 2018 – New Asia Novela Craze

Posted in Uncategorized by

Why you should watch Meteor Garden 2018

A revival of the 2001’s hit TV series across Asia is now in the Philippines, Meteor Garden 2018. This version is made for the new generation, love story, although much of the scenes are connected with Meteor Garden 2001, a sequence about school life, love, and friendship bond.

And since it’s a remake, there are certain things you’ll compare this on the previous teledrama, like the role of each character for example.

Dong Shancai (Shen Yue) A simple young freshmen girl with strong-willed behavior, stubborn sometimes and doesn’t allow herself to be bullied by anyone.

Dao Ming Si (Dylan Wang)  A senior student guy, comes from a wealthy, domineering family. He is a stubborn, hot-headed and arrogant leader of F4.

Huaze Lei (Darren Chen) F4 member. A sleepy-head, quiet, and indifferent to those outside his circle of friends. His one who doesn’t care about anyone’s

Feng Meizuo (Connor Leong) F4 member. One who enjoys making jokes and has an incredible memory.

Yan Ximen (Caesar Wu) F4 member. A certified playboy, he calls himself a good person but not a good man.

Good points to noticed with this version are:

  • Less violence – compared to the previous one where Shancai experienced being seriously bullied by her schoolmates after receiving a red card. Here, bullying was not emphasized instead challenged when Sanchai and Shing He received a joker card.
  • Smart and well-known F4 – This showcase every F4 member’s field of expertise, how well they are in playing the game called “Bridge”.
  • Youthful school love story – Almost all settings of the series shot at Mingde University, it captures how well Shancai on her studies.
  • Strong-willed Dao Ming Si – Demonstrates how strong her love for Sanchai. That he’ll do anything to get her love even if it takes to fight with his mom.

Final thoughts

Certainly, meteor garden 2018 will skip your heart a bit. This youth love story will definitely touch the heart of all ages. The cool theme with an added scenery of China, Canada and London will also fell you in love more with Dong Shancai and Dao Ming Si.

How to Earn Money from your Receipts

How to earn money from your receipts using a mobile app (Snapcart Review)

One time while I was browsing from a facebook group, I bumped into one post states how she earns money through grocery receipts. It is through a mobile app called Snapcart. Really I said, “can I earn money through that app?”, since FB group has almost 100K members, it’s like raining comments from that certain post. Then one member posted earning proof (3 payment post directly on her bank account). From that on,  told myself why not give a try since every week we need to head off to the grocery store to buy food for the family and milk for my little ones (that’s what every mom’s do).  And until now I am a receipts collector! From grocery receipts down to mini mart receipts booyaa…

Snapcart is a mobile application that can be downloaded through google play. With this app, you can earn money by snapping or taking photos of grocery as well as medicine receipts. Other receipts are not yet accepted such as receipts from a gas station, restaurants, hardware stores, and clothing boutiques. But based on the latest update, snapcart is planning to merge with a well-known restaurant so eventually, they’ll be accepting receipts form these merchants. I’ll cross-fingers to that, so I can dine, eat and earn (yeah!). One thing you need to take note is that snapcart only accepts those receipts within 3 days of purchase (meaning you should snap your receipts 3 days after the transaction else they might get dumped!).

What kind of receipts that snapcart accepts:

  • Receipts from grocery
  • Receipts of purchased medicines
  • Receipts of purchased cosmetics (not perfume)
  • Receipts from a convenient store
  • Receipts from fast food chain (limited time only)

Make sure to check the below notes to avoid rejection of your snapped receipts:

  • Maximum date of receipts should be 3 days ago
  • Items purchased are for personal use only or from the same household. Not for resell
  • Snapped receipts should be real, not duplicated or modified.

Receipts amount and corresponding cash back can be viewed below:

Cashback can also be multiplied depending on your level as a snapper:

Snapcart also gives bonus coins by answering Survey, watch videos, and photo shot on the certain item receipts they require. Collected coins can be used in snaptastic games where you can win various prizes like cashbacks, coins and other special surprises from snapcart partners.

Final Thoughts

At this moment I can say that snapcart is one legit way on how you can earn money using your mobile phone, it really pays! Below is the sample payment shot I got from them.  By the way, they send payment through given bank account 7 days after your request. Below is the sample cash back I received from snapcart, deposited at my BPI account.
